Bogotá (6 april 2018). In the private meeting held between the Colombian an Dutch Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Minister María Ángela Holguín thanked her counterpart, Stef Blok, for the support that the Netherlands has given in the peace process: bilaterally through the cooperation for the post-conflict, and multilaterally, as a non-permanent member of the 2018 UN Security Council.

During the meeting, they had the opportunity to review the bilateral agenda on economic and trade issues given that the Netherlands is the main destination of Colombian exports to the European Union.

Minister Holguín highlighted the economic relations that Colombia has with the Caribbean territories of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and invited Minister Blok to deepen the commercial relationship with Curacao, seeking better access to our food products, such as meat and fruits.

This is the first visit abroad of the Minister since his recent appointment last month, which demonstrates the interest and compromise of the Netherlands with Colombia.
