he Hague 21.09.2021. The Colombian Ambassador to the Netherlands, Fernando Grillo, accompanied the official visit to the Partners for Water Program by the Governor of San Andrés, Evert Hawkins Sjogreen, and his advisers, Messrs. Fady Ortiz and Richard Francis.

The meeting was attended by Mrs. Barbara Swart, Coordinator of the Netherlands - Colombia cooperation, from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water of the Netherlands; Robert Proos, advisor to the RVO-Department of Development and International Cooperation; Evelien Brand, advisor to the RWS-Ministry of Infrastructure and Water of the Netherlands; Jeroen Klooster, representative of Arcadis; Bregje van Wesenbeeck, representative of Deltares, as well as Martin Kershaw, of the Van Oord company.

During the event, the Netherlands' progress in coastal management projects was discussed, with a focus on nature-based solutions. Additionally, the delegations celebrated the start, during the last quarter of 2021, of the Dutch technical cooperation implemented to prevent coastal erosion and stimulate nature-based solutions in San Andrés, and the safeguarding of biodiversity in the area.
