The Embassy of Colombia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands presented the audiovisual and photographic exhibition UNIBIRDS: The Universe of Colombian Birds
The Hague (Jul 2021). Within the framework of the Plan to PromoteColombia Abroad, the Embassy of Colombia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands on July 15th 2021 presented Unibirds: The Universe of the Birds of Colombia, an audiovisual and photographic exhibition by Colombian artists Sergio Mantilla and Miguel Chaparro.
This installation uses analog (printing) and digital (mixed technique + AR) technologies to unveil the biodiversity of Colombia through its birds, allowing the public to know and interactively observe the colors, textures, details, and behavior of the birds, that made Colombia their home.
The event was attended by members of the diplomatic corps accredited in the Netherlands,
representatives and members of international organizations based in The Hague, Dutch authorities, and representatives of the commercial and industrial sector.
Complementing this activity on July 20th, 2021, some of these art pieces were staged in the Port of Amsterdam, in front of the emblematic Kissing Couple XXXL sculpture, which was light up with the colors of Colombian national flag.
The Plan to Promote Colombia Abroad is a tool of cultural diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, which seeks to support the achievement of the foreign policy goals of the Colombian State.
