The Ambassador of Colombia in the Netherlands met with the Secretary-General of the Permanent Court of Arbitration
The Hague (Aug 24/21). The Colombian Ambassador to the Netherlands, Fernando Grillo, held a meeting with the Secretary-General of the Permanent Court of Arbitration, Hugo Siblesz, with the purpose of strengthening Colombia's multilateral relationship with this international organization.
During this meeting, the Ambassador expressed Colombia's commitment to the mechanisms for the peaceful settlement of disputes, specifically through arbitration.
The Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) was established in 1989 by the Convention for the Peaceful Settlement of International Disputes. The 1899 Convention was revised in 1907 during the Second Peace Conference in 1907, through which Colombia joined this international institution. The PCA offers dispute resolution services that can involve states, state institutions, intergovernmental organizations, and private parties.
