The Hague (Oct 14/21). Within the framework of the Plan to Promote Colombian Abroad, Embassy in the Netherlands organized, in partnership with Radboud University, the presentation of the Colombianisms Dictionary (Diccionario de Colombianismos), published by the Ministry of Culture of Colombia and the Caro y Cuervo Institute.
The lecture entitled "De Zapaquildos y Guascas historias de palabras que nos cuentan los colombianismos", was directed by Alejandro Munévar, researcher at the Caro y Cuervo Institute, anthropologist at the Externado de Colombia University with a master's degree in social anthropology from the Ecole des Haute Études en Science Sociales in Paris, France.
The activity was focused on the stories that were hidden in more than 8000 words that the dictionary gathers, and it was an opportunity to explore and learn about the Linguistic-Ethnographic Atlas of Colombia, a work that collects the characteristics and variants of Colombian Spanish.
